Dr. Ayantoyinbo Benedict Boye attended The Polytechnic of Ibadan in 1984 where he studied Mathematics/Statistics for the award of National Certificate of Education. He left Poly Ibadan in 1987 to the University of Nigeria Nsukka where he graduated with a combined degree in Statistics/Education. Few years after he did his master's in Transport Management in Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye (formerly Ogun State University). He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Transport Management in 2014. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT)
After his NYSC in 1991, he joined Irongate Finance & Trust Co. Ltd, where he worked as a marketing officer. Thereafter he joined Sheer Promotion Ltd as Asst. Manager (Operations) in 1996. In 2000 he moved to Materials Management Services Ltd where he worked in various capacities and rose to the level of a Consultant before joining
LAUTECH as an Assistant Lecturer in the Management Science Department, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Dr. Ayantoyinbo is a versatile researcher with a special interest in the field of transport in general and Logistics Management panning over a decade, He has contributed tremendously to the training and capacity development of numerous graduates in the field of transportation in university and professional institutes. As a certified and chartered transporter, he has been studiously involved in research in virtually all key areas of transport, thereby contributing to knowledge in the field of transport studies with an emphasis on Logistics Management. He has about 34 published journals both at international and local levels. Three of his major works are A Study of the Effects of
Road Traffic Congestion on Freight Movement in Lagos Metropolis, Analysis of Solid Waste Management Logistics and its Attendant Challenges in Lagos Metropolis, and Application of Fuzzy DEMATEL Method on the Impact of
Information Technology Innovation on Supply Chain Management of Food Industry in Nigeria. He has authored so many books one of which is Fundamentals of Air Transport Management and Practices sponsored by: Tertiary Education Trust Fund (tetfund)
Apart from his research publications, he also engaged in both private and public organisations in the area of academic matters. For instance, he was the immediate pastPublic Relation Officer for Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (South-West)and equally review for the Journal of Transport and Supply Chain Management,
University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dr. Ayantoyinbo has served in various capacities in the University. He was appointed Ag. HOD of the department of Transport Management (2016-2018). Member, LAUTECH Senate, Member, Board of Studies, Directorate of Part-time (2016 -2018), Member, Institutional Strengthening Programme Implementation Group for CIRCLE (2013-2015)
and Departmental Postgraduate coordinator.
