History

The Department of Transport Management was carved out of the Department of Management Science in 2009/2010 session with the creation of the Faculty of Management Sciences out of the then Faculty of Engineering. The Department of Management Science was established to commence its undergraduate programmes along with those of other departments in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology during the 1990/1991 session.

The Department of Management Science resumed its Bachelor of Technology degree programmes in Transport Management and Accounting in 2000/2001 session while the mandate to run Bachelor of Technology degree in Transport Management was taken over by the Department of Transport Management .

Mission

Our mission is to produce graduates that will contribute to achieving the overall goal of Transport Management as well as the development of transportation systems and the growth the industry at large towards the attainment of the sustainable development goals.

Vision

Our vision is to impart our students with the requisite knowledge that will help in providing practicable solutions to transport problems.
